Even by Pure Reason, and not Religion, Modern Man stands indicted: his industry poisons air, his wars are brutal without principles, his commerce robs the Common, cities fracture kinship, elders die lonely, children don't enjoy parenthood, psyche crumbles to incredulous extent.

This book is essential for Hindus seeking clarity amid deception. Goel’s compilation not only critiques but empowers, urging an “intellectual Kshatriya” revival. It exposes the anti-Hindu core of the Sangh Parivar’s Pseudo-Hindutva ideology in the name of hollow patriotism and deceptive nationalism, a mirror to pseudo-secularism’s betrayals. Hindus must heed its warnings—or perish in deception.

“What Can a Global Turn in Philosophy of Science Look Like?”, forthcoming in Minnesota Studies in the Philosophy of Science, by former Ashoka philosophy undergrad Kabir S. Bakshi. Congratulations Kabir!

In recent decades, the history of science has gone global. But what about philosophy of science? Taking cue from the global turn in the history of science, I put forward an account of what a global turn in philosophy of science can look like. My account draws upon the hermeneutical approaches to integrated history and philosophy of science, championed by Jutta Schickore and Hasok Chang.
On the way, I demonstrate – by examining the case of the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India – that much is to be gained, by both sides, from a closer integration of global history of science and philosophy of science.

The metaphysics of why LLMs work are still basically completely obscure but they heavily imply that intelligence (which is to say apprehension of reality and planning ability wrt that reality) is very deeply baked into the structure of language

"What we’re supposed to be doing in Ramadan is taking a moment to stop, take stock of our lives— in that respect, it’s very similar to how secular culture experiences January."
"The food and drink are a metaphor for the material world; when we deny ourselves food and drink, we are asking: if you can deny yourself the essentials for survival, do you really need all the other things?"

AI is not the problem. Our relationship to meaning is.
When people ask whether a text was “AI-generated,” they are not, in most cases, seeking clarity. They are seeking reassurance—reassurance that identity still resides in authorship, that creativity is still scarce, and that meaning cannot be automated. But this question reveals more about us than about the text. Because authorship, in truth, was never what we pretended it to be.

This year, the overarching framework appears to be KBC: Knowledge, Behaviour, and Competency — a holistic model aimed at cultivating not just ethical awareness but ethical action. To meet these expectations, aspirants must go beyond textbook definitions. A strong grasp of Universal Values, Morality, Ethical Dilemmas, Decision-Making, Ethical Theories, and the spirit of the Indian Constitution—“We the people…”—is essential...
If aspirants approach this subject with sincerity and humility—truly integrating values into their way of thinking—then knowledge naturally evolves into competency. This includes emotional intelligence, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, listening, and collaboration: the soft skills that anchor ethical living in the real world... It asks aspirants to see the interconnectedness—not just within the syllabus, but within themselves and their relationship with society. Written by Nanditesh Nilay
