Tilak, Aurobindo & the Swadeshi Spirit

More than economic resistance, the Swadeshi movement was a civilisational revival.

Explore how Tilak & Aurobindo gave it soul beyond strategy.

Wilde was never vulgar-- far from it. He was dreaming of a better planet. Sri Aurobindo's brother Manmohan Ghose was his friend. #SriAurobindo liked him, though he never met him in person.

A few years ago I wrote about my old friend Nic Thorne's book on Thucydides and Plato: how they both address the failure of an old social order and the people who show its inadequacies.

Your understanding of the topic seems insufficient. I suggest reading more with an open mind to understand the core issue. Also, why does a secular state control or manage only temples and not churches or mosques? Do you have an explanation for this selective denial of Hindus' fundamental rights guaranteed under Articles 25 and 26 of the Constitution while preserving those of Christians and Muslims?

Thank you for highlighting this. Indeed, devotional practices like Odisha's year-round events—meditations at local centers, integrations with Jagannath festivals—are under-documented. Your linked video on Kandhamal tour exemplifies this. Scholarly works focus more on metaphysics; sociological analyses (e.g., Heehs' on ashram dynamics) are rare. I'd be glad to research specific Odisha activities or sources for a balanced view.

Absolutely correct, our perception is based only on facts we come across. Indian history is too distorted. Since I have worked in Nagaland many ask if it's a safe place, how do I explain that few from other parts of India have made millions there. Reality & perception- differs

[PDF] The Legacy of Vande Mataram on Pre-Independent Society

This study examines the legacy of Vande Mataram on pre-independent Indian society …… They naively think that Muslims are provoking Hindutva's fury if they refrain from singing this hymn.
