श्रीअरविन्द के 154 वें जन्म दिवस के पावन अवसर पर आप सबको हार्दिक बधाई । श्रीअरविन्द के जन्म दिवस को हम आश्रमवासी दर्शन दिवस के रूप मेंमनाते हैं इस दिन हमारी मनोकांक्षा, हमारी अभीप्सा क्या हो, यह एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न है। किसी ने श्रीमाँ से पूछा था, ‘श्रीअरविन्द के जन्मदिन को हमें कै से मनाना चाहिए?’ माँ ने कहा,—स्मरण करके , श्रीअरविन्द का अनवरत स्मरण करते हुए..। हमें यही करना है ताकि श्रीअरविन्द से मिले ज्ञान उनकी शिक्षा द्वारा हम उनके योग पथ में मार्गदर्शन पा सकें और मानव सत्ता अपनी मूल भ्राँतियो और अ ं ज्ञानताओ से बचते हुए सजग और सचेतन रूप से ंपूर्ण योग के पथ का अनुसरण कर सके ।

A lovely essay about Wendell Berry’s worldview, who was clearly one of the wisest human beings on the planet in recent times.

I think Berry’s arguments are in context of globalisation and the soulless standardisation as well as mind numbing chaos it inevitably inflicts upon all of us. It’s not necessarily about being local in a literal sense but in spirit.
Hmm true. Progress is inevitable, yet we also find that no matter where or how far we go, we keep coming back to where we started. And after all superficial changes have been swept away, what remains is always the same & always will be. I think that is the crucial insight here.

Long story but essentially nomadic steppe pastoralists who thrived as they domesticated horses, with protein rich (meat and milk), compared to their contemporaries. Battle hardy group that overrun most everything in its way in the Iron age because thats what they knew. They replaced 95%+ of Europe's Y chromosome. Their descendants eventually migrated down to Northwest India and mixed with the egalitarian IVC heavily influencing what came after. Stay local on one hand vs. Nature/evolution on the other. Can't control that.
I understand. My only point was globalization is caused not because people made a choice amd could have easily gone the other way. But rather they thought that was the only way, it's in the DNA.
