This day marks the 69th Independence Day and also the 144th Birthday of Sri Aurobindo. To commemorate this occasion the following programmes have been planned:
0930 hrs: Hoisting of National Flag
1000 hrs: Playing of Sri Aurobindo’s historical message to the nation on India’s independence. Sri Aurobindo wrote this message at the request of All India Radio, Tiruchirapalli, India, for broadcast on the eve of India’s independence. This is the message which was broadcast on August 14, 1947. It is of special relevance and importance even now
1015-1105: Film on Sri Aurobindo’s Integral Yoga by Sopanam, Auroville. A highly engaging animated motion graphic presentation of the fundamental ideas and underlying geometry behind the knowledge and process of Integral Yoga. It gives a broad overview of psychology, cosmology and transformational practice of Integral Yoga leading towards psychic, spiritual and supramental transformation.
