In the pantheon of nation building and great statesmen, Pt. Nehru will always stand among the greats ! We all owe him a debt of gratitude for all the freedoms we take for granted today. #Nehru #RememberingNehru

The forces of Hindutva have always seen the Nehruvian idea of India as the greatest hurdle in their way.  https://t.co/8mcOYGhLWc
Demonising Nehru has been a favourite pastime of the proponents of Hindutva for long. https://t.co/x5b8ifJlrY

"...Anti-Modism alone does not suffice, abusing Modi ad nauseam cannot garner votes or support in this age & time. To rescue India someone of great mental calibre & large thinking capacity is needed. Modi is nowhere close. His intelligence is limited to practical gain & the crudest, most outward idea of progress which he calls "development".  (1/2)

He thinks in terms of bridges, roads etc. He is incapable of leaping beyond to real deep abstractions & concepts. Everything about this guy is a smokescreen. (2/2)

As Member of the Governing Board of the #Auroville Foundation, I felt greatly honoured to present the special memento for the #Auroville50 anniversary to Hon'ble President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind Ji, this morning at Rashatrapati Bhavan. https://t.co/2AkCm7pN0u

It is time to reclaim the lost inheritance of Bankim, Vivekananda, Syama Prasad and historians such as Jadunath Sarkar and R C Mazumdar. says @swapan55 . Intellectual mind like you have to start writing on them and rest follows :)  https://t.co/FfmqkAdIqc

And I directly questioned the authenticity of Mazumdar's authenticity!
He was not a historian, but just a Nehru Gandhi slave!
Look at his views on Tilak, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bipin Chandra Pal and Aurobindo Ghosh.

I am hardly offended. Just ensuring that this stays civil.
I trust Majumdar to not distort his source. That being said, his book should be available. Feel free to check it out. There is also actual pictures from NAI files that I saw someone post about a similar petition

In my latest on @sciam, I question whether there really is such a thing as the flow of time... It's a counterintuitive idea, but intriguing at least. If it's true, it would force us to review the very notion of death and finality.

Thank you. We had a great interaction; hope the officer-trainees enjoyed it as much as I did. We must focus on institutions that can sustain moral conduct by altering incentives. The repressed hate on twitter is unbelievable - even among people on the same side of the fence.  Does it have something to do with the brevity of the platform or is it the normal envy multiplied by visibility on twitter?  Never experienced such hate in real life.

Or may be we are better at hiding emotions face to face?  I don’t know.

Anonymity often brings out the worst in people. In real life they know they can’t behave the same way as it won’t be acceptable. The lack of verification on twitter makes this possible

Titles printed on book covers are needlessly subdued. Most have used all Caps which is inconvenient to read. When each book struggles for its existence in a book shop or book fair, the title and the author's name should be designed prominently against the background illustration.

The World is a unity — it has always been, and it is always so, even now it is so — it is not that it has not got the unity and the unity has to be brought in from outside and imposed upon it.

Only the world is not conscious of its unity. It has to be made conscious.
We consider now is the time most propitious for the endeavour.
#TheMother #IntegralYoga
For, a new Force or #Consciousness or Light — whatever you call the new element — has manifested into the world and the world has now the capacity to become conscious of its own unity.
