Just felt like sharing this talk which I gave a couple of years back. Every time I think of Sri Aurobindo, his thought and work, my fascination and adoration only increases a few folds.

This is a set of 4 books giving the key aspects of each of the Vedas. Dr. R.L. Kashyap was the Director of Sri Aurobindo Kapali Shastry Institute of Vedic Culture. With an extremely lucid style of presentation that youth can easily connect to. Link:

I recommend reading the chapter Time The Destroyer in Sri Aurobindo's Essays on The Gita, and the chapter The Divine and Undivine in his book The Life Divine, as well as the small booklet the Yoga and its Objects. they can be gotten for free as pdfs from the ashrams website. The yoga and it's objects is a good link between the view of the Gita and introductory to Sri Aurobindos work, and he emphasizes Lila (God's Delightful Play) over Maya (World As Domain of Suffering). As well as gives a summary of how India spirituality is so important.

Baji Prabhu Deshpande’s epic last stand inspired many nationalist leaders too. Aurobindo composed a English poem in his honor, while Veer Savarkar wrote a famous ballad on him in Marathi, to instigate the people against British rule.

Here's a quick one before a comp. response. Take Tripuradahana. Here historic interpretation is wrong; shows deep colonial imprint. 'Cos u r also a wonderful Sri Aurobindo scholar, u can easily understand  Tripuradahana belongs to an inner liminal node not deep-historic memory.
