I have no ideology, only thoughts. And the love for an India that hates no one, excludes no one, denigrates no one.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dhruva Sarja's Martin. Perhaps my brain is totally rotten at this point.

Anything larger than life, slow motions, loud action, and decent to no storyline is all I need. The more the star power, the better. If the lead can't take down an army alone, I can't watch it.

A decade ago, Godfather re-releasing would've excited me. Doesn't anymore. My taste has devolved from Charlie Chaplin, Casablanca, Hitchcock to mass movies. And at that too, the brain-rotten ones. I love those as well.

A century of scholarship has shown that the figure of the lone genius is largely mythical. Is Einstein the exception?

Albert Einstein is the exception to the rule. Everything about him savours of the preternatural: his discovery, aged just twenty-six, of special relativity while working as a clerk at the Swiss Patent Office; his appearance in later life as a wild-haired guru uttering sage pronouncements about the universe; the sheer weirdness of the general theory of relativity and quantum physics...

Einstein almost always worked as part of a broader community rather than delivering vatic pronouncements from on high. Likewise, it shows that his non-scientific commitments, such as pacifism and Zionism, were responses to specific circumstances rather than abstract idealisms...

Einstein’s findings were not immediately accepted by everyone. But they stimulated much activity, precisely because they addressed questions already central to the broader scientific community.

Werner Heisenberg wrote his groundbreaking 1925 paper on quantum mechanics while recovering from hay fever on the island of Helgoland. He was just 23 years old at the time.

Uninspired people intimidated by data as well as cynically academic individuals are befuddled by the multiple layers & aspects of a deity as they evolved over centuries.

Inspired minds see the various phases in an evolutionary trajectory as existing primordially but manifesting in generations of minds, using the extant realities around those minds to inspire “new evolutes”, which, of course are not new). Imagine a series of infinitesimal phases of a Deity falling into the minds as inspired thoughts, one after another, such that it looks like an evolution. There can be multiple lines of evolutions as well.

Those who are inspired will also be able to see the disparate memes constituting a deity and identify the common logic binding them all together; that logic being the essence (Tattva) of the Deity.

When things (matter and souls, both) proceed from a state of rest to a state of action—material causes evolving into products, souls proceeding into the world of action, birth, and death from their cosmic sleep—they scatter into their respective individual trajectories of growth and decay, as if leaving their respective gaṇa-s or categories. The return to the state of rest would therefore be a return to their gaṇa-s.

Wow; I’m shocked that there is a similar articulation. Have honestly not read this ever. Sad that my intuition was already realized by someone but happy to feel vindicated!

So it’s clear that long before Buddha in the most ancient Vedic tradition, the stūpa was a monument linked to the luminosity of a realized being symbolized by a pillar of light (Agni-skandha). The Sun (Sūrya) too was envisioned as a column of illumined power. It is from this sacred symbolism that the later Buddhist stūpa was derived. The Buddha, considered an Enlightened One, was venerated in this form, because it represented the Vedic concept of awakened radiance.

Casteist politics and the relentless grip of reservations in public services and political positions have shattered Bihar, casting it into a desolate abyss of poverty, decay, and squalor. Once a radiant beacon of Hindu civilisational glory for millennia, the state now languishes, its soul fractured by divisions that fester like open wounds.

In a tragic irony, the Congress party, consumed by a self-destructive fervor, vies to outdo the casteist and reservation-driven machinations of the #PseudoHindutva RSS-BJP and certain regional parties.

That’s what you think. This is neither a Hindu Rashtra nor a Islamic Country and there are a lot of atheists who have a right to live, speak freely. Even in states run by religions there are people who do not believe in religion

IAF’s staggered revelations on the extent of damage caused in Pakistan further confirms that it withheld a lot of information not to embarrass USA. It also explains USA’s irrationality while slapping tariffs.
