One of Odisha’s beautiful traditions is that temples don’t just give blessings, they also serve wholesome meals. Even in small towns, you can visit the main temple and buy a full meal. This helps families, especially women.
In my childhood, there were no restaurants in our small town in Rajasthan. Eating out wasn’t an option. Mother cooked every single day, 365 days a year. On festivals or when guests came, she was in kitchen for longer time.
Temple meals give women a rare breathing space. On special occasions, if they don’t want to cook, they can simply get food from the temple, and enjoy the festival like everyone else.
Food as devotion. Food as community. Food also as relief.

Unlike Jagannath temple at Puri, many big temples in Karnataka provide free lunch, thus ensuring allegiance. That inhibits free thought too.

As a researcher, one is sustained by the hope that amidst an endless pile of manuscripts, a singular, overlooked discovery awaits. This is, by far, the rarest finding my research has yet yielded.

Biological evolution - genome, environment, and random mutation generate new species.
Generative AI - neural network, prompt, and stochastic response generate creative outcomes.
Is this fundamental triad (system + input + randomness) the basis of self-organisation and emergence?

From Sri Aurobindo's perspective, the "random" nature of events and life is an illusion of the mind, which is incapable of grasping the deeper, divine logic that governs existence. What appears as chaos or chance to our limited human consciousness is, in fact, an expression of a purposeful cosmic drama known as Lila or Divine Play... In summary, what the mind perceives as "randomness" is the working of a profoundly purposeful Divine Will. Through spiritual practice and conscious evolution, we can move beyond our limited perspective and discover that our existence is not a meaningless accident but a deliberate, blissful, and progressive manifestation of the divine. - GoogleAI
